Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026. This policy explains how ASA College Advisory ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data, including for visitors located in the United Kingdom and the European Union under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

1. What we collect

When you submit an application or contact us, we collect: parent's name, email address, telephone number, country and city of residence, the student's first name, current grade, school and curriculum, university preferences, and the written responses you provide in the application form.

We also collect limited technical data through analytics tools (Google Analytics and Meta Pixel), such as pages visited, approximate location and device type.

2. Lawful basis for processing

  • Legitimate interests — reviewing applications, responding to enquiries and operating the mentorship practice.
  • Consent — for analytics and marketing cookies, where required by law.
  • Contract — where processing is necessary to enter into or perform an engagement agreement.

3. How we use your data

Application data is used solely to assess fit, respond to you, and — if an engagement follows — to deliver the mentorship. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers needed to operate the site and communications (e.g. email and form-processing providers), under appropriate safeguards.

4. Data relating to minors

Applications are submitted by parents or guardians. We collect only the minimum information about students needed to assess and deliver the mentorship, and we never publish the names or identifying details of minors.

5. International transfers

As we advise families internationally, your data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where data is transferred out of the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

6. Retention

Application data is retained for up to 24 months if no engagement follows, then deleted. Data relating to active engagements is retained for the duration of the engagement and as required by applicable law.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time, and you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).

8. Cookies

We use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; declining them will not prevent you from using the site.
